October

The holidays are coming and I can definitely tell because our lives are getting busier. It is nice though that P had a two week break from school. So we gathered up the crew and headed to see the witches at Gardner Village.

We also celebrated my daddy's birthday. Got the whole fam together for mutniks and pie.

All the little girls danced with the mini Accadians at the football game... they had a lot of fun dancing together.

We welcomed a new one to our family... my sister had her 3rd girl this month!

Got the crew together again and headed over to the rec center for some fun games and food for Halloween.

We went to a costume party at my friends house and she had these delicious looking breadsticks....

Painted some pumpkins (yes painted... carving is too big of a pain in my butt!!)

Finally we all went out trick or treating in our neighborhood. I am so glad they don't do a trunk or treat here and you just have kids running up and down the streets trick or treating. That's the way it should be.

Little Lady is now 6!

My sweet P turned six this last week. People say "oh my! can you believe she is already 6??" and I say "Yes I can! I feel like she's been around long enough she should be 20!". I haven't noticed a big difference between 5 & 6 besides she can read now and she can make her own breakfast! Does dinner come in the 7th year??

This girl is obsessed with taking pictures. She is always stealing my camera or phone. So for her birthday my parents and I bought her a camera that is sadly nicer than mine...can't complain when mine was pretty much free!

She spent the weekend with her dad and he took them to the zoo on Saturday with a party on his side. Sunday night the lucky girl got another party with my family. Fortunately between the 4 girl cousins we had a lot of princess decorations and fortunately she wanted a princess party.

I was so sad she had to go to school on her birthday but did get to do our traditional birthday lunch at TGIFriday's!! We had a blast!

When I asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday she said she wanted her cousins and Zack to come over and play games... so that's what we did! They all had a blast and the birthday princess had a fun birthday!

Thanks to all for making it such a great birthday for my little lady.

G man's 1st day

The G man has started preschool! He is going to the same one that my little lady went to because I just love it there. One of my best friends and her mom run it out of their house and they do the cutest things with the kids. If you're ever looking for a preschool, let me know!

G man was a little sad to go, mostly because he wanted to take his lunch with him. When I told him couldn't but he would have a snack at school he was sad because he wanted the snack right then! Since the first day he has had no problems going right up to class. Him and P both think though that school should be done. They are sort of surprised when I tell them they have school again. I think they had so much anticipation for it and now they've done it so they are done!

And of course, he goes to preschool with his best friend and cousin, Cash money!

15 years later

My dad's side of the family got together this last weekend to celebrate my grandma's life. Grandma B passed away 15 years ago. I was just starting my teenage years so I vaguely remember her. I know that she was an amazing person that was always thinking of others and continually serving others. My siblings are the older cousins and after me the next bunch of cousins were 3 years younger and then after that they just kept coming. So a lot of them sadly never really got to know grandma. And now because of her our family has grown quite large. 9 kids later she now has 32 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids (my numbers could be off just a little). We are all still pretty close. Only one aunt and a few cousins live out of Utah. Other than that we ALL still see eachother a few times a year.

Getting ready to read our memories of Grandma

My memory of grandma that I put in the basket was she always let us play in her drawer full of flour. Grandma was a baker! She was always baking or cooking something. She seriously had a kitchen drawer that just had flour in it! It was a fun drawer to play in. One of my strongest memories is doing ding dong bunnies. Grandma made these every year at Easter time and we would go out and sale them to raise money for conjoined twins. One thing I always think of when grandma was alive is how much time we spent together as a family. With 9 kids and so many grandkids her house was always full and crazy! We celebrated birthdays, holidays and much more in that house and I will never forget the love that was felt. Because of her we are still a very close family.

Uncle and cousins

Me and my closest cousin

I sure love this girl! Her and I were pretty close in our younger years. Our parents were always going on vacation together and so I have many great memories with Maili and her family.

Some of my younger girl cousins that I am slowly getting closer to!

One of my uncles passing out his honey from his bees!!!

Getting ready to say our goodbye's for the evening

I have a learned a lot from this family and know that I will continue to learn more from them. They are all such wonderful, loving and caring people. My family has continued the tradition of staying close. My siblings families and mine are always over at our parents. We are always doing things together... three of us are in the same ward and live on practically the same street! We love eachother and I know that we are close because of what our parents taught us.
