SUMMERTIME

I LOVE summer! I love spending the days outside, swimming, family BBQ's, my favorite holiday 4th of July is in summer! I love not having to worry about a coat or jacket!!! I love listening to the kids play outside and listening to all the sounds of summer. I love hearing the sprinklers going throughout the neighborhood and the birds and kids!!!! It's just a fun time of year for me.

So far this summer....
The studio I teach at had their dance recital. All the teachers can perform and teachers assistants so both my sisters and sister-in-law (which I consider a sister) all danced together! It was a lot of fun but I am definitely realizing the effects age has on my body!

We had our yearly family reunion on my dad's mom's side. Luckily it was up here in our neighborhood park but unfortunately it rained. And sadly I didn't get any decent pictures from the reunion.

The boys found the desert table though!

I also had drill camp down at UVU in June but only made it to the first day. I was bummed because I am really missing coach Katie! I wanted to spend days with her and her new baby! But I did get sick and threw up on the way home. Good times.
My new drill team...

The kids and I went to some family's for a day of fun in the sun! The kids are in swimming lessons and absolutely LOVE it! P is just a little fish! So after swimming we went and had pizza and played on the slip and slide... well I didn't play on it but the kids did :)

And finally the 4th of JULY!!!! Even though I had to work I've been waiting for this day! We didn't make it to the parade this year but got there in time for breakfast! After work the kids and I went to my Uncle's for the famous Bartholomew mutniks!! yum yum! then we headed up to the Sugarhouse Park fireworks. The kids LOVED them! They were so excited when they started and then got bored but then the ending came which woke them right back up! Even though I had to work it was still a fun day... looking forward to next year when hopefully I am teaching full time and have the summers off!!!

She didn't want to touch the chicken!

MAY

May is a busy month for us and is still not over. We start out at the first of the month celebrating MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY. All her kids and my bro's wife took her out to a movie and my little sis & I took her to dinner before hand. Fun little girls night out with the exception of my brother!

Then the following Saturday I had a DANCE COMPETITION and hung out with my older sister and her daughter who is on the competition team. Our last competition was the 16th. YEAH!!! I am done with the competition season... begin again in December.

I celebrated MOTHERS DAY with the kids out at my moms doing absolutely nothing. It was wonderful. The kids bought me a necklace & some earrings for mother's day and MY BIRTHDAY!, which was the next day. This is the only picture I got from both days and G man is the one that took the picture! We were at Spoon Me. Personally I like Red Mango more.

Our big celebration of the month is the G MAN'S BIRTHDAY!!!! . We had such a fun day that day. Did our tradition of TGIFriday's and then later that day we had our families over for pizza & cake & ice cream. We had a blast all together and I cannot believe how big my little boy is (or as he would have me say my big guy is).
We bought him a soccer net, a new soccer ball & some cones. He loves soccer, football, trucks & swords!

(This is the necklace & earrings the kids gave me)

Sweet truck from grandma C, Bapa & family

I LOVE summertime or atleast warmer weather. Send all the kids outside and they can make any mess that they want!

My sister LOVES her nephews... they are going to be really sad when she has her baby in a few months.
Oh! and Jeremy cut his hair while I was out of town for a dance competition. At first it was really sad to see it all gone, mostly because he doesn't look like a little boy anymore... he looks like a big boy.

Next our little lady graduated from preschool. They celebrated the week by having a pajama party one day and on the last day of school they had a pizza party and came out and sang songs for the parents. She is definitely more than ready to move on to kindergarten and I am especially excited for the school she will be going to!

I know it is a lot for one post but I rarely have time now to get on the computer let alone update our blog. Coming up we'll have my sister's birthday but she is in Europe so that celebration will be post-poned. We also have the RP community festival, dance recitals, nephews birthdays... All leading up to my favorite day of the year--The 4th of July!

Easter

As usual our holidays are quite busy... we started Easter at our house with our own Easter egg hunt. Ran to our parents for a much funner & larger egg hunt with candy & money in the eggs! Ran back to church so the kids could sing in sacrament. Ran out to our parents for a yummy ham dinner then made one last stop at our other parents to get some fun gifts for the kids!

Our new tradition it seems is to take ALOT of pictures of my family on Easter. I think it's a day when we all look half way decent and the kids look somewhat clean!

Dying Eggs!

We colored Easter eggs at my moms with my family this year and G man was able to do some this year (he didn't want to throw them!) The best was my nephew... after a bit we looked over and all of his eggs were orange! So, we thought it would be best if we moved the cups around and 10 minutes later all his orange eggs were now blue! The kids had fun.

Soccer

G man was SO excited to start soccer but is not so hot on the idea of playing in any organized team... he would rather run around wherever he pleases and kick the ball whenever he pleases.

Surprisingly P is doing it again and she is getting out there and running around, following the ball!
